Woman Naib Tehsildar's clothes torn Revenue officers entered the gov. house by breaking the door and tried to rape

In a harrowing incident on Diwali night, a female Naib Tehsildar, posted in Sadar Tehsil, Basti district, accused her colleague, Ghanshyam Shukla, of a brutal attempted rape. The victim released a compelling video appeal, urging Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's intervention to ensure justice, as the accused remains at large.

Despite the complainant filing a written complaint two days after the November 12 incident, the police initially attempted to suppress the matter, leading to a delayed FIR registration after media exposure.

Additional District Magistrate Kamlesh Chandra Bajpai confirmed Shukla's suspension on Sunday.

Amidst the pursuit for justice, the Naib Tehsildar's video plea has intensified, highlighting the urgency for the accused officer's arrest. Charges of house trespass have been invoked, and a non-bailable warrant has been sought after Shukla evaded authorities. The police have formed teams to apprehend the accused.

The disturbing incident unfolded following WhatsApp chats between the victim and Shukla. Mobile location tracing is underway, revealing the extent of their association. BJP MLC Devendra Pratap Singh criticized the local administration for delays, emphasizing the need for swift action.

The victim detailed the traumatic assault, alleging that Shukla forcibly entered her house, attacked, molested, and attempted to strangle her. Sections 307, 376, 452, 354, and other relevant IPC sections have been applied in the case against Shukla, encompassing charges of attempted murder, rape, house trespass, and assault on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty. The urgency for justice is now a focal point in this distressing episode.
